There was a wooden piece of a pallet that made its way into the box that contained the couch base in it. But upon inspection by me & the UPS Freight driver there was no damage to where the wood pierced the box & protective plastic.

I'm sitting on the sofa right now. We love it. The colors and fabric are great, I like it even better than the samples. I am getting used to the firm seat cushions because our old uncomfortable couch was so saggy! But I can tell these will last. And they seem to have softened just a bit as we sit on them.

After we got the plastic off it was easy to put together. I had some trouble with the slipcover at first. We must have twisted it because it was too tight to pull over all 4 corners, but then suddenly it went right on. It fits so well that it seems like the couch came that way.

The couch is very well made and fits our space perfectly. You took time to answer all our questions and to help with fabric samples until we found the right combination. We love the color and fabric we decided on. And your guarantee that we could return the couch without shipping costs made me feel comfortable enough to spend the money and order it without seeing it or sitting on it. I love my new sofa. The appearance, quality and ease of assembly met my highest expectations.

Since you’re asking me to help you to keep getting better, I’ll mention that the black fabric/paper used to cover the bottom of the sofa tears very easily. I realize it’s the same kind of material that many other furniture manufacturers use, but it’s already torn – apparently I snagged it when I was cutting off the plastic wrap. Of course, that’s not noticeable when the sofa’s upright but it was disappointing nonetheless.

That minor point aside, the bottom line is that I’m thrilled with the sofa and will certainly recommend Simplicity to others. I’m attaching a photo so you can see for yourselves how nice it looks in the den/second bedroom of my apartment.

The love seat looks great in our room! The proportions r great for me, fabric looks nice and complements the other room colors, and it feels good when using ottoman for my leg support. I really didn't get a chance to spend a lot of time relaxing in it last night but hope to soon. I can't think of any improvements needed at this time. Once the furniture came in we were able to hook up with UPS quickly and got a speedy delivery.

My experience with Simplicity Sofas was high quality, from initial contact to final product. I also wanted to know if it is possible to have a piece of fabric cut and finished in our upholstery and slipcover fabrics to use as a dog blanket on the couch. Something that would be a rectangle that we could lay on top of the cushions to catch dog hair (the fabric is actually not very sticky) and protect a bit, but that we could pull right off when we wanted to sit on it without the dog.

We finally got our sofa on Friday (UPS freight was really thrown for a loop with the weather; they missed their first appointment almost two weeks ago, and wouldn't set another one before Friday). Luckily, we had put our party off two weeks, and we got it just in time. We enjoyed showing it off to the roughly 50 people who were here. The sofa is beautiful. It was, as promised, extremely easy to put together (and my petite wife and I had no problem carrying the largest piece up the stairs. The fabrics (Diego Saddle Leather and Ultra Suede Patchwork) are lovely, with excellent texture. Anyway, we do really like the sofa and think it is a terrific value for the money we spent. Also, I have to say that your customer service is excellent; your company is a pleasure to deal with. And we're grateful that your sales department recommended the Patchwork pillows to go with our sofa -- they make the piece really look and feel great. I had some reservations about purchasing a sofa I had never seen or felt in person; I decided to buy because of the terrific reviews I found on the internet (and the way you describe your manufacturing process). I am really glad I did. But if you ever have any prospects in the DC area (we're way out west) who would like to see and touch one of your sofas before buying, please do put them in touch with me. I would be more than happy to show them your fine product. Jeff, we have two other sofas and a love seat in the house. My goodness, what service and concern for your customers!! I am rather cynical and since I've been involved in so much horror around the planet and the deceit that spawned it I am taken aback when people show straight up decency. Thank you' I bet you are very pleasant to hang with. We spend much time in various RV parks and my wife is highly social so this results in our rig being the place where folks often come for coffee and conversation. Although I expect the majority of the world's economy to collapse in 2010 I will speak highly of you and your company as long as I have the liberty and freedom to do so. Furniture replacement is a subject that often comes up since so many folks are living full time in their rigs so the wear/replacement subject is common. I now have a place/website to send them without hesitation since I know they will receive the best treatment.

Thanks for checking in. Classic Moving did a fantastic job. They scheduled a delivery date about a week in advance and called the morning of to confirm that they were on their way. They arrived just when they said they would and were nothing but efficient and courteous. They brought the boxes up to my apartment, three flights up, quickly and were even so kind as to warn me that the stairs were a bit wet so I didn't slip. At 8 months pregnant, I was able to unwrap all of the pieces and assemble the sofa in less than 25 minutes. The quality of the materials is great and the sofa is surprisingly comfortable. The storage ottoman is roomy and makes a great addition to the sofa, much like a chaise. Though the production and shipment took a bit longer than I expected or would have liked, I have nothing but praise for Simplicity Sofas customer service, their product and their choice of shipping companies. Thank you so much for making our online purchasing experience pleasant and well worth the wait.

The hardest part was getting the sofa out of the box. It was quite easy to put together. My only question was where the washer went when screwing in the arms. One seat cushion was a bit odd where the stitching was placed, but probably I would be the only one to notice it as I was the one placing the cushion on the couch ' they are firm!!! Talk to most RVers. They would likely agree that stock RV furniture is lacking, both in style and quality of construction. Many people wind up replacing their furniture within a year or two. Since ordering our RV we've learned that one usually has the option of ordering without any furniture at all (and get credited on the sale price of the RV). While we love our KZ, the living room (we call it 'the great room') furniture that came with it left much to be desired. Our sofa was definitely at the top of our short list to replace. But given the parameters of our living area and restrictions of size and weight of conventional furniture, what were we to do? In December we stumbled across the Simplicitysofas.com web site. Their products were not only intriguing from a quality standpoint but they also fit our tastes in design, fabric and color. Simplicity Sofas appeared to be constructed with small spaces in mind, to fit through narrow doorways, and to be easily assembled, which encouraged us to dig further. We ordered a catalog, some fabric samples, and exchanged emails and phone calls with the company, usually communicating directly with owner/president, Jeff Frank. Jeff was quick to respond to our every question, which left us with the impression that the company's claim to first-rate 24/7 customer service was not sales hype. Heartening first steps. After reviewing fabric samples and discussing/measuring what would be a good fit, along with reading many positive customer experiences, we opted to take the plunge. On December 26 we ordered our 'apartment' sized sofa. Mind you ' we've never sat on a Simplicity Sofa so we were more than a little nervous about ordering furniture sight unseen ' or 'unsat'. We had an additional concern about ordering a sofa so close to our departure to Ecuador. Jeff assured us that even with the company's Christmas and New Year's holiday break schedules, it would arrive when we needed it to arrive. Jeff kept us updated on the sofa's build process and delivery schedule via email. Sure enough, our sofa arrived from North Carolina via UPS freight in three boxes (total 160 pounds) on Friday January 22, less than a month after placing our order. Prior to its arrival we found a home for our less than year-old RV sofa. Another couple in our RV park was looking to replace their aged sofa and were delighted to receive ours. Our one condition: in lieu of any payment to us, that they make a donation to a Haitian earthquake relief organization of their choice to which they heartily agreed. Simplicity Sofa stated that their sofas are built using solid oak frames and may be assembled in less than fifteen minutes. Too good to be true? It took less than ten minutes to EASILY move the three pieces into the RV and assemble them following clear and concise instructions without any tools. The frame is solid and well built as opposed to the stapled-together sofa that started to fall apart the moment we levered it out the door. Not only does the fabric look and feel great, it's very comfortable to sit on. Add some throw pillows and we're good to go. It took far longer to cut up the cardboard shipping boxes for recycling! So what did we give up by making the swap? The old sofa had a slide out drawer for under-seat storage. However, the drawer was unwieldy to open and close and because it had already had come off one of the two rails, it was pretty useless. And we didn't need the storage space anyway. The sofa folded out to accommodate an air mattress but when it was open, it took up too much space. The new sofa is not a sleeper sofa but we kept the air mattress and in a pinch, it will fit on the floor in front of the sofa. While it would not have worked for our situation, Simplicity Sofa offers an airbed option but only on their full-sized sofas. And what did we gain? A great looking well-constructed sofa that fits nicely into the space allotted. It's far more comfortable to sit on and our choice of fabric blends well with the colors of the RV interior. Alas, the photo of the new sofa doesn't do the subtle "Pebble Sage" color justice. We're extremely pleased with Simplicity Sofa. A company that was easy to deal with, provided excellent customer service and delivered a product that was exactly what was promised. In fact, their products would fit well in numerous home settings regardless of space constraints. As for RVers looking to replace their stock RV furniture, we couldn't recommend a better solution than Simplicity Sofa. Maybe it's time to replace the swivel recliner.

The sofa is great. The material and craftsmanship are really nice. There was a crack in the board where the arm rests bolt goes through. It doesn't go through to the hole and I don't think it is a big concern but I thought I should mention it just in case it ever cracks fully. Thanks for the follow-up Jeff. I meant to email you today anyway; we enjoyed using our sofa at our housewarming party yesterday. We finally got our sofa on Friday (UPS freight was really thrown for a loop with the weather; they missed their first appointment almost two weeks ago, and wouldn't set another one before Friday). Luckily, we had put our party off two weeks, and we got it just in time. We enjoyed showing it off to the roughly 50 people who were here. The sofa is beautiful. It was, as promised, extremely easy to put together (and my petite wife and I had no problem carrying the largest piece up the stairs. The fabrics (Diego Saddle Leather and Ultra Suede Patchwork) are lovely, with excellent texture. We haven't tried the air mattress yet. My in-laws are coming on Sunday so they'll get to try it out. I had the impression that the air mattress would actually store internally in the couch. It's no real problem that it doesn't, but you might want to be clear about that on your site. Anyway, we do really like the sofa and think it is a terrific value for the money we spent. Also, I have to say that your customer service is excellent; your company is a pleasure to deal with. And we're grateful that your sales department recommended the Patchwork pillows to go with our sofa -- they make the piece really look and feel great. I had some reservations about purchasing a sofa I had never seen or felt in person; I decided to buy because of the terrific reviews I found on the internet (and the way you describe your manufacturing process). I am really glad I did. But if you ever have any prospects in the DC area (we're way out west) who would like to see and touch one of your sofas before buying, please do put them in touch with me. I would be more than happy to show them your fine product. Jeff, we have two other sofas and a love seat in the house. We plan to replace them all in a couple of years, and Simplicity Sofas will be our purveyor of choice. I will also recommend your company to my friends and family.

I couldn't be happier with it, besides having a house with narrow doorways, finding fabrics that went with my decor was a challenge. The way it was packed, the construction, and the fabrics are all top notch. Also I thought the way the back collapses and how it all locks together is a very clever design. Just thought we would tell you that our new sofa looks PERFECT! It went together easily and we couldn't have asked for more! But, I am going to ask you about one more thing. I wasn't sure about ordering pillows to go with it, as I wasn't sure if I should get contrasting color pillows or the same color as the couch. So, I waited to see how they looked with the rug first. Now, I know that I would like two pillows the same color as the couch (Twill Olive). I think that they were about $20.00 dollars each. What is the easiest way for me to order them. The previous reviewer wanted to hear from an actual customer, and that's me, so here is the story of THE BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED. The back story: I ordered the full-sized Lorelei sofa and, as promised, it arrived in four weeks and took less than 15 minutes for me to assemble. It looks gorgeous, and you'd never think it can be disassembled. However, it looked like they sent seat cushions for a shorter sofa, and there was a bit of a gap in between the cushions. I called the company and not only did they say they'd make new ones, but rather than have me wait for them to ship to my house, the PRESIDENT OF THE COMPANY HIMSELF (that would be Jeff) would deliver them to my place on a Sunday because he lives in the area. As promised, he showed up when he said he would, and exchanged the too-short cushions for new ones that he had tested in the factory on a similar couch. People, this kind of customer service is so rare. This company clearly stands behind its products. If you need furniture, but you need to squeeze it through a narrow hallway or small elevator, these sofas will fit. Not only that, but you'll be buying them from a company that treats its customers with kindness and respect. I'm happy to recommend Simplicity Sofas to everyone I know, and everyone looking this up on Yelp. Jeff didn't pay me to write this :)

First let me say that your customer service is undeniably the best I have ever had. I felt that we were taken care and never needed to worry about a thing. To me that is a huge deal considering we ordered a sofa on line never having seen or touched it. As far as the furniture we love it. It was so easy to put it together just as you said. I am so impressed by your service and your product. We live in an old farmhouse (built in the 1850's) and the doorways are very narrow. I have told everyone I know about how easy it was to put the sofa together. It literally took my husband and I longer to unpack the boxes than it did to assemble the sofa. I will be very interested to see how it wears over the years. When the sofa arrived in Bangor ME and I was notified we did have to alter arrangements to pick up the boxes. Our road was "posted" which means freight trucks over a certain weight cannot use what is normally a main road due to harsh winter wear. We did meet the truck and driver in Newport not very far away and got the two boxes in our pickup truck. All went well. Again, we are very impressed by the company, the willingness to send many fabric samples, and the ease with which we got the sofa assembled. Thank you for your concern.

Sorry it's taken so long to provide feedback. Work has been very busy. Following is something you could use for your website: I ordered a sectional set from Simplicity Sofas after reading numerous positive reviews on the internet. I needed furniture that could fit down the stairwell into our basement, and being in the military,furniture that is easily moved. I had a very large number of questions about materials, sizes, and options. Jeff Frank was extremely responsive and provided prompt, extremely detailed answers to all of my questions. I was impressed at the level of customer support. I went ahead and ordered the sectional. After I ordered the sectional, I had some additional questions that Jeff once again answered promptly ' in fact, he made a special note to his production manager to ensure my sectional was built to meet my needs 'he advised me that this might take a few more days to deliver. Simplicity Sofas beat their delivery estimate. The sectional arrived securely packed and wrapped in heavy plastic ' everything came through without damage. Upon assembly (which was extremely easy) I did discover an issue with production 'some threaded inserts for the ottoman legs did not get installed. Once again, Simplicity's customer service was outstanding ' I was presented with a couple of options to resolve the issue ' all at no cost to me. Simplicity stands behind their products and the issue was resolved. After about a month and a half so far, I've found the sectional to be well made and comfortable ' I am very pleased with my purchase and expect to get many years of enjoyment with this set. My sofa finally arrived and it is perfect! The color, fabric and size is great. My husband and I really did put it together in 15 minutes. I was almost laughing at how unusual and easy it was to do. I do want to say that the cushions we sit on are somewhat "firm". Perhaps they will relax??? What is the filler in the back side cushions?? They have a much softer feel. Do other customers have this question?? Do you have any comments or suggestions for me?? As far as customer service - I would send anyone to your company for that alone. It was excellent!! The sofa is beautiful. The assembly was straightforward and easy. Initially, we thought the cushions were a bit too firm but after breaking them in for a few weeks they seem just perfect now. I got the slipcovers. The fabric is AWESOME! I love the color, the texture, and best of all, my cats have not clawed it (they practically destroyed the Nevis Blue - and I only got that - when - a few months ago). Has this fabric been treated with something, or am I just blessed? Do you have any recommendations on how to discourage cats from doing this? Probably not, but thought I'd ask, anyway - I even tried bitter apple spray but it didn't really help - Thanks for everything. I was finally able to bring the sofa pieces up stairs and put the sofa together. It is absolutely wonderful! I love the dark brown and the contrasting welting color. It looks so rich! The assembly went smoothly and quickly. I was a bit confused when I got to the washers since nothing on the directions showed if they went with the feet or the arm three-pronged devices. What was great was there was your 1-800 number on the instructions which I called and the woman on the line told me to use them for the arm attachments. It was a snap. What pleases me most is the quality of the sofa! It is wonderful with the springs, the down-filled cushions, the luscious ultra-suede fabric, and the overall excellent construction! Well the furniture is out of the box and has made it up to our 3rd floor bonus room. We've tested it out and love it. (Husband, two girls, 14 and 9, and all my 14-year-old's friends!) The workmanship and material quality is definitely first class. It was, indeed, easy to put together. The packaging was superb also, i.e. the long corrugated corners, plastic bags, and heavy corrugated boxes. Without all that there would have been a problem for sure since the boxes came off the delivery truck extremely dusty/dirty. I had to vacuum them off before opening so as not to get the new furniture dirty. I do believe it was the deliverer's truck, not your fault. All in all, my husband is very picky about quality and he even agreed that your product is exquisite. Customer service was great also, both by phone and email. Thank you for taking the time to answer and ask questions. I must say also, that I had never heard of your company or any other Ready-to-assemble furniture companies. I found you by Google search, something like 'upholstered furniture you put together.' Luckily, you were the first company I clicked on because EVERY other company offered what looked like junk. I would've given up on finding something even usable. I don't know who buys their stuff. I was hoping to get it before Christmas and it would've been great, but honestly, Christmas morning, no one was saying, 'I wish we were sitting on better furniture.' So, to sum it up... I definitely would recommend you to everyone I know. I honestly can't think of any way you could improve, except maybe the price, but wouldn't we all love more for less! They (and I) are so impressed with how sturdy the chairs are. They look fabulous and I could NOT be happier. UPS Freight also does a nice job of reaching out and coordinating. We had a little confusion over the date of delivery, and the local Maryland office supervisor (Paul) took fantastic care of me and was friendly and upbeat the whole time he was doing it.
